Your Choice,
Your Way

"In 1979, Michael D. Sapp Sr. and Antoinette (Candye) Sapp founded Paws With A Cause, initially named Ears for the Deaf®. PAWS began when Mike agreed to help a friend. Marty Jansen and his wife, Dianne, are both deaf and had just adopted a young deaf child. Their hope was that Mike could train their Cairn Terrier CRYSTAL to alert them to important sounds such as their baby crying. Mike agreed and soon other deaf and hard of hearing people approached Mike and asked if they could have dogs trained as well."
What started out as friendly gesture, PAWS has grown into a national organization that has impacted the lives of thousands of people. Because of Mike and Candye’s vision and the entire Staff's hard work, PAWS enhances the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities across the country through custom-trained PAWS Assistance Dogs."

AFSP raises awareness, funds scientific research and provides resources and aid to those affected by suicide. They fund research to improve interventions, train clinicians in suicide prevention, and advocate for policy that will save lives.
With community effort, they are able to encourage schools, workplaces, and bring so many together to walk together to make mental health a priority. Whether you’ve lost someone or are struggling with suicidal thinking—you are not alone. AFSP brings people who have been affected by suicide out of the darkness and gives them opportunities to help others.
There are AFSP chapters across the United States.

George's unconditional compassion for supporting HIV/AIDS-related entities was a tremendous part of his life, not only because it personally related to his life, but for his selflessness when it came to being there to help support the cause whenever and wherever he could. We also believe that kindness must always be remembered and shared. GMLP, Inc. in unity with others will never forget George's passionate caring for others.

In memory of George and his compassionate heart that was filled with love for all animals near and far, our Team was so happy to connect and support Old Friends Senior dogs.
These amazing Senior dogs, especially those with medical problems or disabilities, face a much greater chance of euthanasia at shelters than younger dogs because it is difficult to find adopters for them due to their shorter additional life expectancy and unknown veterinary costs.
GMLP will provide Bundles of Hope for everyday necessities for those Seniors living their golden years at the sanctuary.
